Minor Embarrassments

Today’s Pics: The Boys might could object to the first pic in this posting, but they’ll get over it. I threw in the second pic just for whimsy’s sake. The first photo was taken in Lompoc, CA either in 1970 or 1971. SN1 is on the left, SN2 on the right. They were five and three years of age, respectively… if the pic was taken in ’71. Subtract a year if otherwise.

The second pic is of granddaughter Anastasia and two of my three pups (Bōgus Dōgus on the left, Fifi La Bonne on the right) at my dining room window in Ferndale, Michigan. The Second Mrs. Pennington… a less-than-amused TSMP, BTW… sits on the right. She’s slightly irritated because the dogs are barking their heads off…and I set ‘em off just to get this pic. How did I set ‘em off? Simply by suggesting there were squirrels out in the yard, and they should take notice. Thus, barking…and lots of it, too. Anastasia is also desperately looking for said squirrels, as well. You can barely see our third dog, Fritzi Ritz (a German Shepard mix), at the bottom of the pic. Fritzi didn't fall for the "get the squirrels" ruse because she was a whole helluva lot smarter than the other two dogs. Sometimes.

I might be back later, but in the mean time there are errands to run and stuff deferred from yesterday because of weather nastiness. Today, OTOH, is gorgeous but slightly cool. Yesterday’s weather was anything but nice. It was pretty ugly, when you get right down to it.
